LSS 2053 Cultural Diversity Mid-Exam

Your Cultural Diversity Exam is next week.

Rooms: TBA (If you are a big section you will be moved to a bigger room)

There are several versions of the exam and the date for your section is:
·         CIL:     12 Nov Tuesday - ADMC Library Presentation Room 1 - 10.30am
·         CGS:   13 Nov Wednesday - T005  15.00pm
·         CPE:   14 Nov Thursday- T005  15.00pm
       ** Come late for the exam = 0 marks!! 

      (Portfolio #1 - all sections 1-8 is due 9 Nov. midnight (10 Nov. for CPE)) 

There will be no resits unless you have a medical certificate.
Come ON TIME or risk missing the exam..
All students including late entry students must take the exam on this day

 Please make sure that you know all the vocabulary


The Exam Format

A. Definition Matching: Match a word on the left with its definition on the right.
Write the appropriate letter in the shaded boxes on the left. (30 points)

B. Sentence Completion: Choose the appropriate word from the box below to complete the sentences. (15 points) 

C. Short Essays: Choose two (2) from the three topics to answer in 3-5 sentences. Use the extra sheet of paper if necessary. (30 points) 

D: Longer Essay: Write 200+ words. (25 points)

  1. Tell me about Todd in Outsourced – why did he suffer cultural shock? When did he begin to adjust to Indian society? How do we know that he had re-adjusted his ideas when he went back to the USA?
